Harkness & Young Ltd is an importer and distributor of hardware, houseware, & leisure furniture to the New Zealand retail and wholesale market. H&Y was established in 1982 by two founding directors Bob Harkness & Don Young who previously held marketing and sales management roles in a major New Zealand corporate. Don Young retired in 1999 and the company is now fully owned by the Harkness family. H&Y is located in Auckland with all distribution taking place through a substantial facility at 21 Saleyards Rd Otahuhu where also the showroom and head office are located. Currently H&Y employs 27 staff members including its own national sales force throughout New Zealand. To fully service the needs of our customers we source our products from more than 40 suppliers worldwide and have developed strong customer relationships with many major New Zealand retailers and wholesalers.
